OGEMAW HEIGHTS - Apr. 25, 2007 - Ogemaw Heights' boys and girls track and field squads each defeated Pinconning on Wednesday in a North East Michigan Conference dual meet.

Falcons easily got past the Spartan boys 118-19, while the Ogemaw girls claimed an 81-56 victory.

Winning events for Ogemaw boys were Justin Brindley in the 100-meter dash (12.22); Bryan Williams in the 200 (24.39); Zach Lynch in the 400 (54.86); Roger Elrod in the 800 (2:25.70); James Padden in the 1600 (5:09.50); Martin Nelkie in the 3200 (11:26.70); Garrett Rodriguez in the 110 hurdles (18.46); Greg Simmons in the 300 hurdles (46.30); Chad Avram, Williams, Bruce Vermillion and Casey Smith in the 4x100 relay (47.23); Avram, Williams, Vermillion and Smith in the 4x200 (1:39.90); Nelkie, Brian Marshall, Lynch and Erik VanOosten in the 4x800 (10:04.70); Vermillion in the pole vault (11-6); Brindley in the long jump (17-9); Shea Smolinski in the shot put (39-6.25) and Anthony Carollo in the discus (126-5).

Pinny's winners were A.J. Cramer, Tom McKay, Keaton Hebert and Brandon Lester in the 4x400 (4:07.20) and Alex Bray in the high jump (5-6).

For the Ogemaw girls, winners were Kalena Franklin in the 100 (13.99); Morgan Stansberry in the 800 (2:57.10); Heather Villarreal in the 1600 (6:26.70); Maggie Edward in the 100 hurdles (18.76) and 300 hurdles (56.31); Amber D'Arcy, Amanda Thurlow, Selina Tabayoyong and Katlyn Anthony in the 4x100 (59.15); Edward, Kristeen Soper, Tabayoyong and Anthony in the 4x200 (2:02.84); Brittney Stein in the pole vault (8-0); Kelsi Rutherford in the shot put (32-3) and Kayla Brindley in the discus (108-8).

Pinconning winners were Sabrina Vidalez in the 200 (29.77) and 400 (1:08.41); Jessica Vidalez in the 3200 (13:41.0); and Bessie McCullough, Hannah Schmidt, Aleshia Scherzer and Shannon McDougall in the 4x400 (5:01.04).
