Outlook: Whittemore-Prescott, which won two of its six NEMC dual meets last year, hopes to improve on its sixth-place conference meet finish behind the efforts of several standout returners and decent depth in several areas.
One of the pleasant tasks for coach Jeff Erickson will be to figure out where to run junior Sean Siegrist.
"He's as a good a runner as I've ever coached," he said. "He can run just about any distance from the 100 to 1600; not too many guys can do that."
Billy Raushi will be one of the league's best at both the high jump and long jump, while Jeff Pokorny, who competed two years ago but not last season, will also be among the NEMC's top long jumpers.
Jared Dietzel is the Cards' top returning sprinter, while Kane Dietzel is the top returning thrower. |
