OGEMAW HEIGHTS - May 7, 2007 - Tawas Area's three-run seventh inning at Ogemaw Heights on Monday overcame a 3-2 Falcon lead and finished off the Braves' 2-1 and 5-3 NEMC softball sweep that kept Tawas alive in its NEMC title run and all but ended Ogemaw's chances.
After playing to a 2-2 tie through five innings, the Falcons took the lead in the sixth on Jenna Zettel's RBI single.
Tawas struck back in the final inning as Katelyn LaHaye hit the fence with an RBI double, Michelle Revord scored on a passed ball and Shelby Miller singled home LaHaye with the final run.
Nikki Stein, who also was the winning pitcher in the first game, allowed seven hits and two earned runs, striking out seven without walking a batter. Jamie Lucas took the loss for the Falcons, giving up four hits and four walks while striking out three.

In the opener, Stein tossed a three-hitter, walking five and striking out 10 to earn the win. Wren was nearly as good, allowing five hits and three walks while striking out seven in the loss.
Raquel Cooper's RBI single in the third and Potts' run-scoring double in the fifth gave the Braves a 2-0 lead. Ogemaw struck back in the sixth as Wren led off the inning with a double and scored on Zettel's RBI groundout, but that was all the Falcons could manage.
Cooper and Potts each had two hits for Tawas, while Wren, Berdan and Lauren Gillette had the Falcons' hits.
