OSCODA - May 21, 2007 - John Glenn handed Oscoda a sweep in an NEMC baseball doubleheader that wrapped up the league schedule for both teams on Monday, defeating the Owls 4-0 and 11-4.
In the opener, Devin Craves won a pitching duel with the Owls' Jason Jimenez. Craves tossed a two-hit shutout while striking out 12; Jimenez gave up three earned runs on four hits , with six walks and nine strikeouts.
"Jason pitched a strong game against a good John Glenn team," said Oscoda coach Robert Skodack.
Don Crevier and Jimenez each had one hit for the Owls, while Aaron Oleniacz had two hits and scored twice for the Bobcats.
In the second game, the Bobcats scored four runs in the seventh inning to break open what had been a 7-4 game in the late innings.
Dustin Crevier took the loss for the Owls while Jimenez had two his, including a double, and drove in three runs for the Owls.
Glenn improved to 21-12 and finished 9-3 in NEMC play, 2nd in the league. Oscoda fell to 6-17 (0-12).
