AuGRES-SIMS - Apr. 10, 2007 - AuGres-Sims took on the Ogemaw Heights JV baseball team in its opener and came back from an eight-run deficit to force extra innings before falling 13-11 in eight innings.
The Falcons broke a 3-3 tie with a five-run fourth inning and added three more in the fifth to take an 11-3 lead. The Wolverines bounced back with three in the fifth and five in what would have been the final inning in the sixth to tie it. Ogemaw scored two runs in the eighth for the game-winners.
Clark Larson had three hits and two RBIs for AGS, while Shane Lynch added two hits and three RBIs and Art Griffore had two hits and drove in two runs.
Glenn Watchorn had five singles for the Falcons.
The second game was called after three innings due to darkness with the Wolverines leading 7-3 -- too few innings to count as an official contest.
AGS is 0-1, while the Ogemaw JV improved to 3-0.
