WHITTEMORE-PRESCOTT - Oct. 22, 2007 - Whittemore-Prescott's volleyball team earned a pair of non-conference victories Monday, sweeping AuGres-Sims and Lincoln-Alcona.

The Cards topped the Tigers 25-20, 25-18 and AGS 25-16, 25-12.

"The girls played well tonight with minimal hitting and serving errors," said W-P coach Helen Loomis. "Communication was better and the girls never got down. They needed this double win to boost their confidence."

W-P was led by Annie Thompson with 18 assists and 16 service points; Kayla Camp with five aces; Katie Eymer with nine spike kills and four block kills; and Willow McLaren and Skye Charles with nine digs each.

The Cards improved to 7-23-2 with the wins.
