WHITTEMORE-PRESCOTT - Oct. 8, 2007 - Whittemore-Prescott's volleyball team earned a three-game non-conference sweep of Houghton Lake on Monday, 25-23, 25-20, 25-20. W-P coach Helen Loomis said that the Cards' consistent serving was the difference as they made just one service error.
"That kept us in the match tonight," she said. "Several aces clinched the victory.
"I was however disappointed in the number of hitting errors we had. Parts of our game are improving, but overall consistency is still not evident."
Leading the Cards (4-18-2) were Kayla Camp with 11 point; Leighanna Loomis with six aces and nine digs; Annie Thompson with six assists; Chloe Moraitis with eight spike kills and Katie Eymer with four block kills.
"It was enjoyable to get the win tonight in three straight games," Loomis said.
