OSCODA - Sept. 19, 2007 - Tawas Area earned its first North East Michigan Conference volleyball victory of the season, winning at Oscoda on Wednesday 25-17, 25-17, 25-16.

"We just couldn't get our heads in the game," said Oscoda coach Laura Franklin. "Our intensity level was not there."

Margaret Negro had 10 kills and five blocks and Tiffany Rios had 15 assists to lead the Owls (2-3, 1-1 NEMC).

"We need to get our game back," Franklin said. "(Next) Wednesday we go to John Glenn; we have to be ready to play."
