STANDISH-STERLING - Oct. 24, 2007 - Standish-Sterling evened its NEMC mark at 3-3 Wednesday as the Panthers came from behind to defeat Oscoda 23-25, 25-18, 25-11, 25-22.

SSC was able to overcome the Owls' front line of Margaret Negro (19 kills, 12 blocks) and Lelia Cotton (5 kills, 8 blocks) to pull to within one game of second-place Pinconning and John Glenn heading into Monday's league finals round-robin.

Oscoda fell to 11-11-1 (2-4 NEMC).
