OGEMAW HEIGHTS - Oct. 25, 2007 - Ogemaw Heights' volleyball team nearly waited too pick up the pace Thursday, but came alive just in time to pull out a five-game victory 25-21, 25-27, 23-25, 25-10, 15-10.
Missed serves and inconsistent serve reception proved costly in the two-point losses before the Falcons rebounded with a strong finish.
"We played pretty flat and were not very consistent," said Ogemaw coach Diane Gillette. "We started to come alive in the fifth game to pull out the victory."
The Falcons (30-14-8) were led by Tiffany Rouse with 27 digs and two aces; Lauren Gillette with 23 assists, two aces and six kills; Jordan Foster with 23 digs, 12 kills and two aces; Emily Sheltrown with six kills; and Selina Tabayoyong with 18 digs.
