OGEMAW HEIGHTS - Oct. 1, 2007 - Ogemaw Heights earned a sweep of three opponents in a four-way home meet on Monday, topping Houghton Lake 25-21, 25-10, Roscommon 25-21, 25014 and Grayling 25-13, 25-9.
The most significant victory of the night came against Rosco, a team that had beaten the Falcons earlier in the year.
"We knew we had to play our game to take them," said Falcon coach Diane Gillette. "The girls came out fired up and continued to fight for every point even when we were down in the first game. We narrowly beat them (in the first game) but that seemed to give us more momentum going into the second game in which we dominated from the start."
For the night, Lauren Gillette had eight aces, 36 assists and 20 digs; Jordan Foster had nine aces, 14 kills and 24 digs; Jacie Lucas had eight kills and 20 digs; Meaghan Tackebury had 20 kills; Emily Sheltrown had eight kills; Selina Tabayoyong had 14 digs; and Tiffany Rouse had 17 digs.
