HALE - Oct. 29, 2007 - Hale closed out the regular volleyball season Monday by collecting its 20th victory of the year, 25-14, 25-15, 25-12 over Lincoln Alcona.
It was the final home game for the Eagles, who must travel across the state to Boyne City for their district tournament on Saturday.
"It was our seniors' last home game, and we will miss the three on our team," said Hale coach Mandy Allen of Kassie Johnson, Terra Kelso and Rachel Maher. "Kassie hasn't played since eighth grade and acme out as a senior and really stepped up as the best digger on our team. She has truly been a great asset.
"Rachel Maher has been an impressive setter and brought our plays together. We're grateful for her aggressiveness. And Terra has been impressive on the net. She has come so far and done a wonderful job hitting and blocking."
The Eagles (20-11) open district tournament play against the winner of Thursday's Whittemore-Prescott vs. Alcona match that will be played in Hale.
