HALE - Oct., 9, 2007 - Hale kept pace with Hillman atop the North Star League with a three-game sweep of AuGres-Sims on Thursday.

The Eagles topped the Wolverines 25-14, 25-11, 25-17 and improved to 8-1 in league play. Hillman is also 8-1. The two will face off at Hillman on Oct. 25.

"The girls played really good," said Hale coach Mandy Allen. "We played one game and then took a break for Parents' Night for volleyball and cross country, then came back for the other two games.

"We had a great turnout with the parents and we appreciated the support while they were there."

AuGres-Sims was led by Ashley Irwin with three assists and 7-of-7 serving; and Ashley Lynch and Ashley Pine with two aces apiece.
