WHITTEMORE-PRESCOTT - March 1, 2006 - Whittemore-Prescott hosted Oscoda and Roscommon on Wednesday, defeating the Owls in a non-league match 25-19, 25-15 but falling to the Bucks 25-22, 17-25, 17-25.
Despite the loss to the Bucks, W-P coach Helen Loomis was pleased with her team's play.
"With the exception of some serving errors in game one, I though our overall play was decent," she said. "(It was) much better than on Saturday.
"Roscommon had a lot of depth with six seniors and seven girls ranging in height from 5-8 to 5-11. They blocked well and played great defense.
"I was pleased to beat them in game one. This was a great match to have before districts."
