STANDISH-STERLING - Jan. 26, 2006 - Standish-Sterling's volleyball team ran aground against a John Glenn squad that has designs on ending Pinconning's 25-year reign as North East Michigan Conference champs.

The Bobcats swept SSC 25-21, 25-20, 25-19 Thursday to remain unbeaten in NEMC play.

Standish-Sterling was led by Rebecca Beckers with 15 points, two aces and nine digs; Megan Goick with four points, four kills and 10 digs; Brittany Riopelle with four points, two aces, six assists and six digs; Rachel Hartwick with three blocks and 18 digs; and Candace Campau with 16 digs.

The Panthers (7-13-7, 1-3 NEMC) host Valley Lutheran on Thursday.
