ROSCOMMON - Dec. 10, 2005 - Ogemaw Heights' volleyball team finished Saturday with a 3-1 record at the Roscommon Invitational, sweeping through pool play before falling in three games in the tourney semifinals.

Ogemaw defeated Benzie Central 25-21, 25-10; Houghton Lake 25-10, 25-14; and Harrison 25-24, 25-7. McBain ended the Falcons' run by claiming a 23-25, 25-23, 25-15 victory.

"We are a young team, but we played tough and with a lot of intensity the first three matches," said Ogemaw coach Diane Gillette. "All in all I thin the girls did a great job and now we know what we need to focus on to become a better team."

Lauren Shepardson led the Falcons with 33 kills, 26 digs, six aces and 35-of 37 serving. Kelly Rosebrugh added 14 kills, Ashley Killinger had 16 digs, Jamie Lucas had six blocks and Alicia Brown was 31-of-32 serving with 10 aces.
