FAIRVIEW - Jan. 19, 2006 - It wasn't exactly a decisive victory, but it was a win nonetheless.
Hale's volleyball team took a 22-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-22 win at Fairview on Thursday despite 75 percent serving efficiency that gave Fairview 24 points without having to play the ball.
After dropping the first game, Hale claimed the last three by recording 18 aces and 25 front-line kills.
Leading Hale were Shannon Self with three aces, seven assists, 12 kills and 13 digs; Amanda DeShano with 22 digs; Chelsea Sidebottom with 17-of-19 serving six aces and 11 digs; Heather Albaugh with 10 digs; Andrea Herzog with three kills and two blocks; Jessica Beasinger with 10-of-12 serving and 11 digs; Nicole Allen with 15 digs; and Sabrina Provoast with seven aces, eight assists and eight kills.
Hale (5-5, 4-1 North Star League) hosts Hillman on Monday and travels to Posen on Thursday, Jan. 26.
