POSEN - Feb. 13, 2006 - With their backs to the wall, the AuGres-Sims volleyball team kept its unbeaten season alive at Posen on Monday by rebounding from a two-game deficit to defeat the Vikings 15-25, 20-25, 25-11, 25-17, 15-6.
"We got off to a slow start," said senior Charisse Morris. "We got off to a slow start but in the end we came together and won.
"Our energy level was low to begin with, but as the games went on, it picked up. Overall we could have played better."
Morris and Toria Pendred were perfect from the service line, with Morris adding two aces and Pendred four. Pendred added 17 digs to lead the team. Angela Porn had 12 attacks, 16 digs and five aces, Jodi Bilacic had 10 attacks and 11 digs, and Jamie Taylor had 22 assists, 15 digs and 19-of-20 serving.
AGS improved to 18-4-2 (10-0 North Star League) and has won 17 straight matches. Posen dropped to 5-5 NSL.
