AuGRES-SIMS – Jan. 26, 2006 – AuGres-Sims found itself in a two-games to one hole Thursday against Hillman, which with the Wolverines was the last unbeaten team in the league.

No problem for the Wolverines, who swept the last two games to take a 25-20, 15-25, 19-25, 25-15, 15-7 victory and claim sole possession of first place in the North Star League.

“It took all we had,” said AGS coach Jeri Christie. “The girls stuck together and pulled out the win. It took a total team effort.”

Angela Porn had 17 attacks, and 18 points; Jodi Bilacic added 12 digs, Jamie Taylor had 28 assists and Chelsie Irwin had three aces. Taylor (21-of-21), Charisse Morris (8-of-8), Toria Pendred (8-of-8), Amanda Nixon (8-of-8), Sam Baron (8-of-8), Jessica Stevenson and Alicia Wright were each perfect from the service line.
