AuGRES-SIMS - Jan. 16, 2006 - AuGres-Sims stayed unbeaten in North Star League volleyball play Monday with a 25-20, 25-14, 25-21 sweep of Fairview.
"We played pretty well," said AGS coach Jeri Christie. "Our offense ran smoothly. We were able to attack the ball efficiently. I'd still like to see us blocking more and be a real force on offense as well as defense."
The Wolverines served 88 percent for the contest, just off their goal of 90 percent.
"Our serving keeps improving each game," Christie said. "We'll keep working hard in practice and we'll get there (to 90 percent).
"This team has high expectations. We're staying focused on our goals and trying to continuously improve."
Leading the Wolverines (4-4-2, 3-0 NSL) were Jodi Bilacic with four aces and seven points; Angela Porn with nine attacks, eight points and two aces; Sam Baron with eight attacks; Jamie Taylor with 10 points and six digs; and Toria Pendred with three aces and seven points.
