ARENAC EASTERN - Feb. 13, 2006 - Arenac Eastern ran into a Hillman volleyball team that has just one loss and is trying to keep pace with front-runner AuGres-Sims atop the North Star League.
The result wasn't good for AE, which lost a 25-9, 25-27, 25-16 decision to the Tigers on Monday.
"Hillman was hitting the holes," said AE coach Hannah Neil. "When we went to dig, the ball would be out of reach."
Leading AE were Sarah Harnden with six digs, Autumn Spencer with 11 assists, Nicole Marsh with three tips and 11 assists, Heather Vollmer with two aces and 17 assists, Nicole Daniels with two blocks, five tips, 19 assists and five kills, and Julia Altevers with six tips.
The Eagles' game against Fairview scheduled for Feb. 6 will be made up on March 2.
