Gaylord 102, Ogemaw Heights 68

Sep. 12, 2006 - Ogemaw Heights dropped a 102-68 Independent Swim Conference decision to Gaylord on Tuesday.

The Blue Devils had the event winner in each of the 12 events, which was more than the Falcons could overcome despite taking both second and third place in seven of the 12 events.

"We swam fairly well," said Ogemaw coach Sheila Smiley. "I am very pleased with how the girls are swimming at this point in the season."

Second-place finishers included Jordan Brindley, Kelsi Rutherford, Kate Friederichs and Autumn Gabourie in the 200 relay (2:20.54), Kayla Brindley in the 200-free (2:30.52) and 500-free (6:48.87); Gabourie in the 200-IM (2:45.83); the 200-free relay team of Friederichs, Amber Schmitt, Gabourie and Brindley (2:00.22); Jordan Brindley in the 100-back (1:16.78); Rutherford in the 100-breast (1:24.03) and Schmitt, Kayla Brindley, Stephanie Gildner and Jordan Brindley in the 400-free relay (4:45.99).

Finishing third were Stephanie Gildner, Eden Collins, Ali Gray and Tori Rabadue in the 200-medley relay (2:28.69); Schmitt in the 200-free (2:40.27); Friederichs in the 50-free (29.87); Megan Johnson in the 100-fly (1:33.40); Gabourie in the 100-free (1:08.59); Tori Rabidue in the 500-free (7:24.08); Rutherford, Collins, Gray and Shields in the 200-free relay; Stephanie Gildner in the 100-back (1:23.43); and Shields, Gray, Johnson and Rabidue int he 400-free relay (5:04.80).
