OSCODA - Aug. 26, 2006 - The Ogemaw Heights swim team opened its season Saturday at the Oscoda Invitational, finishing fourth out of five teams competiting. The host Oscoda squad was the overall winner.
Top finishers for the Falcons in each event in which they placed were the 200 medley relay team of Jordan Brindley, Katie Friederichs, Ali Gray and Autumn Gabourie (5th, 2:20.89); Maureen Eagan in the 200-free (5th, 2:44.63) and 100-fly (7th, 1:38.53); Gabourie in the 200-IM (6th, 2:59.41); Gray in the diving competition (4th, 75.20 points); Gabourie in the 100-free (8th, 1:07.60); Brindley in the 500-free (7th, 7:37.42); Friederichs, Jordan Brindley, Amber Schmitt and Kayla Brindley in the 200-free relay (3rd, 2:02.63); Jordan Brindley in the 100-back (5th, 1:20.71); Friederichs in the 100-breast (2nd, 1:23.94) and the 400 free relay team of Kayla Brindley, Gray, Gabourie and Schmitt (4th, 4:46.55).
