Outlook: The Falcons lost eight swimmers to graduation but welcome in 11 freshman and a couple of other newcomers that have helped expand the roster and lend additional depth.
"The returners are looking pretty good and getting into shape," said Ogemaw coach Sheila Smiley. "I'm not sure what our strongest events will be, but with the returnees and new swimmers we have several areas that I see potential where we could be strong."
The Falcons finished sixth last year at the ISC finals, though the third through sixth-place teams were a tightly-packed group. Individual improvements will give the Falcons a shot a moving up through the pack.
Smiley said the team's goals are "to have fun, get along as a group, improve their individual times and win 50 percent of our meets." |
