RED HAWK (TAWAS AREA) - Sep. 5, 2006- Tawas Area stayed in the NEMC golf race by edging Ogemaw Heights 160-165 at the Braves' home jamboree at Red Hawk.
Rick Penman (36) and Blair Conklin (38) took the top two individual spots, with Tyler Stevlinck and Matt Flory (43) tying for eighth place.
The Falcons were close behind with Josh Phillips (3rd, 39), Rob Kish (5th, 41), and Andy Kish, Pete VanOosten and Tim LeForce (all 8th, 43) all cracking the top 10.
Derrick Marquiss (4th, 40) and Philip Ott (6th, 42) led Pinconning, with Justin Goike (6th, 42) and Brent Raymond and Zach Dziuban (8th, 43) leading Standish-Sterling.
Chuck Baumer led John Glenn and Alan Poland led Oscoda.
The Braves still trail Ogemaw Heights by six points in the NEMC standings with two regular season jamborees and the league finals yet to play.
