TAWAS AREA - Oct. 3, 2006 - Tawas Area built a 33-17 lead after three quarters and held on to defeat Ogemaw Heights 41-33 on Tuesday in a North East Michigan Conference girls basketball contest.
Jenna Potts scored seven of her 12 points in the first half as Tawas led by eight at the half. The Falcons had trouble getting untracked against the Braves' zone until the fourth quarter.
Renee Wangler led Ogemaw (5-6, 2-2 NEMC) with 12 points, including six in the final period, and Kelly Rosebrugh had eight.
Tawas (7-2, 3-1) got nine from Rachel Adaline and eight from Hope Kolts and has won five straight.
