OGEMAW HEIGHTS - Sep. 14, 2006 - Ogemaw Heights couldn't find its shooting touch Thursday, and Gladwin went on a pair of 15-4 runs to carry the Flying G's past the Falcons 47-28 in a non-conference girls basketball game on Thursday.
Ogemaw managed just four points in the first and third quarters as the Flying G's built their lead. Gladwin went up 15-4 after one quarter despite star point guard Tonya Anderson not scoring until the second period.
Renee Wangler and Keisha Allen each scored four points in a 10-point second quarter in which the Falcons kept from losing further ground. But Gladwin hit a pair of 3-pointers in the third quarter as the G's took a 40-18 lead.
Renee Wangler and Keisha Allen each scored six for Ogemaw (3-3). Anderson had 13 and Katie Murphy 10 for Gladwin.
