Falcons pull away in fourth for win

OSCODA - Sep 12, 2006 - Keisha Allen scored eight fourth-quarter points to spark a game-closing Ogemaw Heights run as the Falcons won on the road at Oscoda on Tuesday, 50-34.

Ogemay held a 31-27 lead after three quarters, but outsocred the Owls 19-7 in the final frame as Allen scored eight of her 12 points. The Falcons also hit 5-of-98 free throws in the quarter.

After a sluggish start that saw the two squads tied at 4-4 after one quarter, Ogemaw began to pull away with a 14-8 second period, mostly at the free throw line.

Oscoda crept back in int he third quarter as Heather Patterson and Kayla Hobart combined for 11 of the Owls' 15 points.

Allen led the Falcons (3-2, 1-0 NEMC) with 12 points, with Jamie Lucas adding 11 and Kelly Rosebrugh 8.

Oscoda (1-4, 0-1) had Patterson lead the way with nine. Hobart added seven.
