Outlook: The Owls hope to continue their gradual improvement and may be able to move up a spot or two in the NEMC.

"Playing time will not be an issue this year," says Owls coach Jim Lemerand of his eight-girl roster. "One other time I had only eight players on a varsity team and they were very successful. Barring unforseen circumstances that expectation holds true for this team."

Point guard Heather Spenceley worked extensively over the summer to improve her game, while returning forwards Kayla Hobart and Heather Patterson will give the Owls some height and speed on the wings. Margaret Negro returns at center, while Justine Niemann, another returner, will step into the starting lineup at forward. Aubrey Thurston, Jill Carl and Kayla Young will come off the bench but are assured of plenty floor time.
