TAWAS AREA - May 16, 2005 - For the first time in four games, the Tawas Area soccer team didn't need a game-saving goal or overtime to earn a victory.
The Braves rode a hat trick by Sarah Klenow to a 6-0 victory over Roscommon. Their previous three games featured a double-overtime win, a last-second goal and an overtime victory that the Braves tied with four seconds left in regulation.
Kadra Stec added two goals and Kellie Kasischke added one for the Braves. Ashley Krumm had five saves to record the shutout in goal.
The Braves (10-5) travel to Ogemaw Heights on Wednesday needing a victory to keep their NEMC title hopes alive. |
