STANDISH-STERLING - Feb. 17 2005 - Standish-Sterling topped Whittemore-Prescott in the first game of their nonconference match Thursday, but W-P came back to top the Panthers with three straight wins 18-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-18.

"In Game 1 we played slopopy and inconsistent, but managed to come back with three wins," W-P coach Helen Loomis said. "Our offense looked much better with very few serving and attacking errors."

Leading the Cards (24-8-5) were Corina Guerra with 3 aces; Theresa Janish with 19 assists; and Emily Hebert and Erica Loomis with 8 kills; and 4 blocks apiece.
