TAWAS AREA – Jan 12 2005 – The Tawas Area girls volleyball team swept Standish-Sterling 25-13, 25-17, 25-19 in the North East Michigan Conference opener for both teams.
“We came on a bit in the third game, but really we struggled all the way,” said SSC coach Wendy Stein. “We're still missing our setter (Brittany Riopelle, injured last week at the Bullock Creek tournament) and haven't really adjusted to her not being there. What it really comes down to for us is the mental part of the game.” Tawas improved to 10-5-1 overall, 1-0 NEMC, while the Panthers fell to 3-13-1, 0-1. |
