Pinconning saw its state baseball tournament run end Tuesday with a 10-5 state quarterfinal loss to Mt. Pleasant. First baseman Steve Moore, beating an Oiler baserunner to the bag above, is one of just two Pinny starters (with right fielder Cody Firman) that graduate this season.

Top-ranked Pinconning survived Escanaba's upset bid in Saturday's Division 2 regional championship game, coming from behind to beat the Eskymo's 5-4 in extra innings. Above, Brett Saha gets buried under an avalanche of teammates that tumbled out of the Spartans' dugout after Saha scored the game-winning run on Casey Pashak's ninth-inning base hit.
